An evening fishing

Thanks to the team at Coorong Reality of Tailem Bend, I enjoyed another hard working day just south of Narrung, South Australia – this time being entertainment and fed by Commercial Fisherman and Coorong extraordinaire, Michael Gibbs of Meningie.

What a wonderful part of the world we live in and it’s just around The Bend – exciting times.

While state’s continue to argue about sustainable Murray River water flows the last of the remaining thirty licensed Commercial Fishermen in South Australia’s Coorong and Lake Districts fight for their survival and one of the world’s finest pristine environments.

With feral New Zealand Fur Seals infesting the region I wonder if our state really has a voice at Federal level – Michael was “Sealed” in Lake Albert in the morning, but still made the time to share his love of the Coorong with me in the afternoon.
